KSKJ Dave Koprowski Memorial Golf Outing

Saturday August 13th

The weather was just fantastic as 40 golfers started off with a shotgun start at Seneca Golf course in Broadview Heights, Ohio at 8:00 am. This year we had 4 divisions with three being based on handicap and a guest division. The play was a two man scramble.

In the guest division, mostly made up of friends of Dave Koprowski, were Jeff McDonald-Ken Long (73), Dave Kopcak-Rod Mullins (80), and winning the division were Brian Koprowski-Ryan Koprowski with a score of (66).

In the “C” division Gloria Feletic-Bob Zak (99), John Zupancic-Russ Lenn (96) Nancy Zak-Lori Novy (98), Ron Zak-Ray Zak (96) Chris Kocin-Steve Bisjak (100), and the winners were Mary Lou Stefanick-Debra Machak (94) all the way from Waukegan, IL.

In the “B” division were Dave Patrick-Patrick Stankiewicz (90), Reba Sinarski-Jim Sinarski (87), Tom Rawlins-Patty Rawlins (91), Randy Zak-Al Novy (86), and the winning team was Ron Koprowski Sr-Jim Orzech (80).

In the “A” division was Derek Deptowicz-Ron Koprowski Jr. (77),

Tim Klodnick-Rich Scherler (75), Bill Urban-Tom Tegowski (85), Tom Tomazick-Rock Supan (72) and the winning team was Bert Hughs-Jon Orzech with a score of (68).

Reba Sinarski won longest drive for women, Brian Koprowski won longest drive on hole #2 and Ron Koprowski Jr. won longest drive on hole #5. Ryan Koprowski won closest to the pin and Bert Hughes-Jon Orzech won longest putt.

Just about everyone at the tournament knew Dave Koprowski and Dave was missed by many. Dave was very active with our Lodge #226 and supported and participated in almost all our functions. Another 20 guests and friends showed up for the dinner, awards ceremony and paid tribute to Dave.
